Ruby Bridges was born in September 8, 1954, in Tylertown, Mississippi. Ruby Bridges was six years old when she became the first African-American child to go to a white Southern elementary school. Ruby was escorted to class by her mother and U.S. marshals due to the white people because they might throw stuff at her and do bad stuff to her. She took a test and passed but, only a few people could pass that test.
Ruby is was advocate because she took a test and passed it. As i said above, only a few people could have passed that test. Because she was smart enough she attended a whites-only school. The name of the school was Willian Frantz. The first day in her new school was bad... awful. All of the white people came out of the school and treated Ruby like trash while she was walking the way into her school. If it was a different person they would have quit that school earlier but for Ruby she attended that school everyday. However, while she was attending that school, she was getting educated by one on one with a teacher.
I would apply this to my life by ignoring what other people say bad things about me. I could also use this in my life by being brave and not be scared, worried, and sad. Also, Ruby knew going to the whites-only school was dangerous but she still did the right thing. I could do the same thing as she did. I could do the right thing and not the wrong thing.
