City Design Project
1. Justify how this project/activity
8.G.5 Use informal arguments to establish facts about the angle sum and exterior angle of triangles, about the angles created when parallel lines are cut by a transversal, and the angle-angle criterion for similarity of triangles. This project relates to the standard because in my project, I used the ability to use exterior and and interior angles and was able to identify them.
2. Elaborate on at least 1 skill and/or strength you feel you gained from completing this project. (Coloring and or drawing are not skills to write about - elaborate on life skills you can take out of this project)
From completing this project, I feel that I gained to know about angles. I've learned that they always add up to 180. Also, I was able to answer questions like word problems by indentifying the angles.
3. Upon reflecting on your work/score, what is ONE area of work you could have done better on? How will improving in this area benefit future work/projects? (Coloring and or drawing are not skills to write about - research skills, time management, etc…) |
Upon reflecting of my score, I could have improved on my time management. I could have used time more wisely but I was later than I expected to be. That is the part I could have improved on.
4. How will you presently apply the content and skills you learned from this assignment in the real world (outside of the classroom, particularly in today’s society) Make connections between the content and your life. |
I will be able to use the skills I learned now in today's society. As you can see, the project was about making a city. The same thing can actually happen in real life. MAybe someone will want to build another town/city, they would use his skill.
